Will the museum and estate of Mykola Kostomarov be in Didivtsi village?
Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko visited the village of Dedovtsy in Pryluky district. There was announced the public action aimed to reconstruct the Museum-Estate of famous historian Nicholas Kostomarov.
The project presupposes the restoration of the house in which Kostomarov lived for ten years with his beloved wife Alina, a well, a chapel and part of the park.
The supervisor of the reconstruction project became an honored art worker of Ukraine, muralist Borys Dyedov.
Thanks to the efforts of local regional student of local history Oleksiy Savon, in Didivtsy there has preserved an patrimony estate of Cossack family of the Kysils. The wife of Kostomarov Alina KRAGELSKA at first marriage was married to M. Kysil. In 1885 she handed the estate over to his son from his first marriage A. Kysil. O.Savon has done a great job, collecting the crumbs of information about the life of the spouses Kostomarov and issued booklet “Didivtsi – the estate of creativity and kindness.
